Body Waxing:
Body waxing is hair removal that extracts hair directly from the root using a sticky substance. The wax adheres to the hair and is quickly pulled away. This leaves the skin smooth for four to six weeks.
During a waxing session, a licensed esthetician or individual applies warm or hot wax to the skin. There are two main types of wax used:
Soft Wax: Applied in a thin layer and removed using a cloth or paper strip. It is typically used on larger areas like legs, back, and arms.
Hard Wax: Applied thicker, allowed to harden, and then peeled off directly without a strip. It shrinks as it cools, gripping the hair, making it ideal for sensitive areas like the face, underarms, or bikini line.
Common Treatment Areas:
Almost any area of the body can be waxed. The most common areas include:
Face: Eyebrows, upper lip, chin, and sideburns.
Legs and Arms: Full or partial leg/arm waxing, including fingers and toes.
Torso: Chest, back, abdomen, and shoulders.
Intimate Areas: Bikini line or full Brazilian waxing.
Underarms: Armpit hair.
