My name is Valerie and I’m the owner of the highly-rated Bare Down There Waxing salon. I opened Bare Down There in Vancouver, Washington in May of 2009 and I am so proud that we are the original waxing-only salon in Clark and Cowlitz county, and we’ve been in business for fourteen years! We only provide waxing services and specialize in waxing because it’s our passion and we love it.
After going to culinary school and preparing to become a chef, I learned quickly that the professional kitchen was less my scene and instead I wanted to own my own business and do something that was empowering, fun, and different every day. After receiving my Esthetician license in 2008, I spent 10 months in a local luxury salon before opening Bare Down There..
Opening my own business was intimidating, but I knew I had the skills and the passion to make it work. After ten years in business I’ve learned a lot of lessons, but the biggest thing I’ve learned is that when you are professional, efficient, friendly, and fun customers trust in you and keep coming back. I have my many many repeat customers to thank for these successful 14 years in business!
